Wood Duck.
I got lucky here as I was concentrating on head-and-shoulder portraits when this beautiful drake unexpectedly raised itself to flap its wings. I decided to go for it as I liked the head's angle pointing up, and was rewarded with this near full-frame image featuring the wings in blurred flapping motion placed in just the right spot. This is about 90% FF.
Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/500s., f/8, ISO 1600, natural light, handheld, a couple of streaks of fine rain eliminated.

Wow Daniel that is near perfect. I love the blur and yet the head is insanely sharp. Well done as always.

I like this. Sharp soft and soft sharp all in one. Beautiful looking duck here.

I'd like a tad more room behind his head but the contrast between the OOF wings and the super sharp and colorful head/eyes is fantastic. Thanks for sharing this one, Daniel.
