This image was taken early morning at Bosque Del Apache, Crane Ponds
I use 24-120 f/4 lens to get a view angle of the crane against the Orange Colors of Mountains at Sunrise.
Nikon D500, 24-120 f/4, at 120 mm

I like the colors, comp, size of birds in frame. I do like pan blurs, but for me personally, like at least the head/body of the bird need .to be reasonably sharp. Wings can certainly show motion blur. Lots of room for personal taste with this style of photography.
Artie has done many, and hopefully will chime in on his take.
Cheers

This does not do much for me, honestly. I see what Randy is saying, I have not really done this kind of blurry stuff. I am still trying to get sharp images mostly. :D
I agree, for me too, that a sharp head would work better. You could probably do better blurs with a longer telephoto lens or pan more carefully. If you do, then you should be able to get sharper heads and a blurred body and wings from the motion.

I am not a fan of blurs but I like what you were trying to achieve here.
It has a nice painterly /movement feel to it.
I agree with the others that if the heads had been sharp, this would have elevated the image to a whole new level,
