I think I need some help with image size
Randy:
Excellent timing, nice light, great catch. Well exposed.
A little tightly cropped all the way around for my tastes.
I find that an image size between 1400-1600 works well on the site, with the new rules.
Ask if other questions.
Look forward to more.
Randy
Welcome to BPN!
Superb details on that Reddish!, nice low POV with a great pose, showing the catch well.
My suggestions: Lose the crop a bit, the long back feather is clipped. I would also run a noise reduction on the water/BG.
Looking forward to more nice images!
Hello Raybei,
Welcome to BPN, a wonderful community of photographers that will welcome your questions, enthusiasm, and guide you along the way. My favorite bird, the reddish egret and you had terrific light on him. I would suggest a looser crop, be sure to leave room at the bottom for those "virtual feet", and include the long tail feather. Very nice details and action. Any idea what kind of fish you have here? I like the divided fish tale! Thanks for sharing.
Welcome to BPN!
Ann took the words right out of my mouth.
Nice and sharp and good light on the bird.
Pity about the cropped off tail feather. Do you have more room on the original image?
The fish looks great and it would have been just over the top had the head been facing our way.
Gail
This is the image to show! You have cleared the tail and given the legs more room below!
Welcome to BPN Randy. Hope you sign up for full membership to show us some more.
The RP makes the image a lot nicer with the slightly looser framing - one of the first things I learned when shooting wildlife is sometimes less is more. I can spend hours watching Reddish Egrets, and having the unfortunate fish in the shot takes this up a couple of notches.

Welcome to BPN Randy. Very nice capture and I do agree with Gail about the image to post is the one in pane 12. Nice colors and details and the fish adds lots of interest. Well done
