Hi John,
What a nice looking fellow we have here.
Love the nice feel of the fur here.
I feel the blacks in the (deer) right ear top are chocked up. & a little more sharpening will make it better.
Nice head angle & good exposure.

Wonderful image John. I like this one a lot. Excellent background and great detail, tone and colour. Composition works well for me too. I could imagine this with a little more below in the composition but current version works nicely. Looking at your ISO and shutter speed, seems the light was against you here so great to be able to get a fine image in those conditions.
John I really like this, the detail and texture of the fur is excellent and all achieved at 1/200,very well done.
Keith.
Hi John, kodus on pushing the ISO, great to see folk having the faith and not allowing low ISO to rule.
For me I would have gone portrait, but I do like the alert pose and HA. Nice detail and at this size the perceptual sharping looks good. Well exposed and taking it into LR the Blacks are all good, but a little adjustment in the shadows I feel would help, albeit subtle. If you has PSCC you could address the lighter highlights, but not a big issue, perhaps it's on Santa's list for the New Year? :bg3:

Hi John - This is very nice with a good head angle and nice detail. Colors look good and the bg is pleasing though I might darken the lighter areas to the right of the doe. I like the reflection in the eye too. Well done.

Rachel
Very nice portrait John, lovely detail here. I would have like you to have given us a little more below, but thats just down to personal taste - certainly one of the nicer frames you've given us of these animals. Would never had guessed at ISO 6400 without your intro.
Mike
Excellent portrait here. Looks great for ISO 6400
Looks excellent to me John, maybe a tad more neck would have helped composition otherwise I think it is pretty darned good.
