I'm very fond of shots like this of these little shorebirds Geoffrey. Your BG and the way it merges with the water is superb and they lined up nicely for you, giving good focus on the eye of each---I find they scoot around so much that that doesn't happen often so you did a fine job catching it. Not sure how I feel about the chopped off reflections, as I find that sometimes reflections detract from the main image.... it w/b interesting to see this shot taken from a bit higher.
Great to get an isolated group here, Geoffrey, with just the birds to focus on. I do feel that a higher POV may have been better here though - but maybe not possible where you were? Water and background are beautiful and good clarity across most of the birds. Thanks for sharing.
A great group of juvies, against that classic East Pond water. Good you got them all together, looking the same way. They are too often seen with their heads in the water. I can see the point of a bit higher POV, or perhaps a bit off the bottom, but a pleasing image in any event.
