Sanderling

Captured this image on recent trip to Cape May, NJ. We encountered quite a few shorebirds this overcast afternoon. I tried my hand at capturing these and other small speedsters. C&C welcome.

Nice work catching one of these speeding bullets in flight, especially in what looks like very dark and grey / low contrast conditions. I like tha tyou can see hint of waves in the BG. The body of the sanderling does look a bit noisy but not unexpected giving the settings. I guess in a perfect world the near wing would be raised a tad more. TFS

Well caught Geoff I really like the image, there is a little noise but having said that I don't think it is too bad.

It's really tough to catch these speedsters in flight. Well done. Ditto the above re wing position and noise.

You get kudos for managing to get a sharp flight image of this very small birds!
