I wish you could have got a better head angle, with a little bit more light on the face etc.

I would crop the image to take a bit at the top of the image and remove the distracting element in the background.

The blacks and feather details are very nice. I agree with Krishna on the head angle. I feel like I say this all the time. As presented the bird just looks like it is swimming away from you and that does not create a captivating image. Head looks soft to me as well.
