Really nice one. Nice soft light, pose, background. The only thing i would change is to move the bird a bit to the bottom, but it's just personal thing.
About as perfect as can be... beautiful bird, lovely colors, perfect perch and background. Thank you for sharing, Tim.
It's hard to imagine how you could have done any better than this, Tim. The light, the perch, the 'techs' and framing all tops... although I'm with Tomasz on moving the bird down a touch. Great result!
This is really well done all the way around.
Very nice Tim. Pose, perch and background look great. I would be tempted to try this as a vertical. Also did you see this bird fly? Did you see if it had white on the outer tail retrices? I am saying this because it resembles a Cassin's Kingbird to me based on the dark gray head and chest feathers that contrast strongly with that pale throat.
Hi Tim, excellent pose and HA here, and I like your placement in the frame. Great eye, and you have brought out the plumage on his head/face nicely - sharp too. Killer BG, and Im fine with your traditional crop.
Thanks Isaac, I didn't pay attention when the bird flew, it could be a Cassin's but the Westerns are the most prevalent in my area and comparing to my other Kingbird shots that is what I came up with, but you could be right…
As for the vertical crop too many branches above and below.

I love the soft sidelight. All the rest is perfect too.
