Gail B. and i go to this fabulous road and there are whimbrels, bar tailed godwits, golden plovers, and oystercatchers flying in and out of grassy flowered fields, Iceland was on fire that night! Wish we had more light but clouds were on the menu again and here is my attempt at processing a large crop bout 50% and an iso of 4000. DPP to PS, -1 contrast and reduced exposure .5, reduced luminance and chrominance @ 7, used neat image, and smoothed out some faint grass outlines as well as stamped out small circles near grass.

Nicely caught Ann, I like the pose the open bill and fanned tail look excellent. I wonder if the whimbrel needs a little more sharpening, or did you apply the NR to the bird, if so perhaps consider a little less or more selectively. I feel there is a tad more detail to be had.

A lovely looking frame with a nice head angle. Probably pushing things right to the limit with this crop at the ISO but as per Jons comment, maybe try a little more sharpening on the head. As a whole though the frame works very nicely
