Well, this is certainly new to me! I bought an Epson scanner from a friend so that I could scan my Holga and Rolleiflex negatives. I was fooling around today and took some camellias that had fallen off the bush and placed them on the scanner. I scanned at a fairly low resolution in black and white because I didn't want to wait 10 minutes to see what I'd get. Anyway, the first thing I found out is how much dust I have on my scanner bed:eek3: I was amazed at the resolution and I'm looking forward to playing around with different compositions and materials. I toned this one in Nik Silver Efex.
Thanks for looking!

Cheryl,
Greetings. Wow, that is pretty cool! If I had just seen this without knowing it was a scan I would be impressed by the sharp flat focus yet effective use of dof. I really like the crisp focus with the three dimensional impact of the dof. I'll have to tuck that idea away for the day when I get a scanner ;-). Good show!
Cheers,
-Michael-

Cool, and from a very large format "camera". :c3: I didn't know you had a Rolleiflex. That was one of my very first cameras, back in 1965. I wish I still had it!
