2 lionesses from the Wapuka pride come down to drink.
In attempting to capture the reflective atmosphere and avoid 'just another sunset' image, I flipped the shot to show the animals the right way up, creating an intriguing scene.
Nikon D4s Nikkor 70-200f/4 1/400s f/4 ISO12800@70mm.
Bean bag, front pax seat, apart from cropping out the upper sky portion, this image has had minimal processing, with just a simply change of WB warmth and darkening the blacks, ACR & PS 'CC 15.
Cheers

Hi Marc - Not sure which of the two I prefer. I like the separation of the lions from the dark areas better here but the cub in the middle of the previous post adds a bit of character.

Hi Marc -- I loved the previous version of this image as well as this one, the colours and the artistic look makes this one a winner for me and how can we forget to mention the execution and thought process of the photographer behind the shot . Superbly done and one of your all time best images for me .
TFS !

This is a fine piece of work Marc which I like a lot but afraid you completely spoiled me with your last post which like I said at the time was the one for me.

This ons is very cool mate, but I slightly prefer the previous one as it just feels more iconic and dynamic.
I'd love to have taken either one myself eh!
