A day with my son,his day a special for his birthday. Dad lugged a camera 'cause he has too. Son bless him helped the old man out as I was starting to slow a bit. As we walked a lake in the real hope of finding some deer for my lad the magic was happening. I felt beyond guilty for sneaking off,but I hope I'm forgiven,to be fair I rushed so much I forgot about the holes in me boots and both feet were sodden. My swan I talked too, sadly out loud, because swans here get fed by us humans and my bird immediately paid attention and came just that bit closer. Dubious baiting, but declared !! So here is the frame, for Mike , my son who I am so proud of and love to bits. A humble mute swan with a bit of the joy of sunset thrown in. Hand held standing as framed

I was trying to get a broad dof but maybe that was a poor choice,as I say I was trying to not be selfish so was somewhat distracted. Processed in DPP4 probably too quickly as I have so little time. I rarely get to post here, which bothers me immensely. That said, despite time constraints the camera is with me when ever there is a chance and I/We are out there grafting away, trying to get images, although the post count is suffering the joy of carrying a camera and trying is my bedrock in life at this time!!
Thank you for all the help here, really THANKYOU,you guys have been with me constantly,I can hear Steve's words and Diane's Gabby's Andreas' Artie Mike ad ininitum
as I shoot,I don't measure up yet,but I really haven't stopped trying to learn
take care all
