Wonderful gory colour and pose here Giovanni, says everytning about a hyena, I would crop to just behind it's front leg and have more room up front if you have it.

Hi Gio -- Gory picture but says a lot about the way these Hyena go about their meal . Loved the colour contrast on the face and the rest of its body . Agree with Marc's suggestion on the comp and also i think the body of the subject has a lot of cyan cast to it . The ear looks a bit crunchy to me .

Hi Gio - The IQ on these is much better than your previous wildlife posts. The gore doesn't bother me and tells a story. I believe what Marc is suggesting and with which I agree is to crop just behind the knee on the rhs. I am only seeing a little cyan in the image (in the shadow behind the ear) so do not think there is a cast.
It's great that you've been commenting on other people's images.

Love the image ! Must say that although a bloody faced Hyena is not uncommon this is the first time i have seen it soo well captured ! The striking red is a big wow ! Also agree that the repost crop works better
