This was taken three weeks ago as the oystercatcher was heading for the nest to give it's partner a break. They are sitting on four eggs and they should be hatching anytime now.

I like your bird; he is full of details and very sharp. For my taste, I would have liked to have seen the background a bit more defused. My eyes keep going there...:(

Nice job of color and detail control. Would've preferred some of the sand spots visible above him were smaller/less concentrated but I like the environmental elements.

Nice sharpness, perfect exposure, and just the right amount of saturation in the beak. The white spots above the bird tend to draw my eye.

Don't ya hate when birds don't stand where you want them to in the pictures? ;).
This is lovely! The colors are spot on. Black and white are the hardest to photograph correctly. You've done it though.
Excellent job. Do show us the chicks if you are able to catch them.

Excellent job on exposure. Tough bird to get right. Good showing of the habitat as well. I too would like to see the bright spots toned down a bit.
I never mind when the habitat is included, as this is what you captured JudyLynn.
