I like the position and posture of the bird in the image. Head turn good. Dappled light is always difficult but some fill-flash can help in those instances. I might clone out or darken up the OOF bright spot in the upper left corner and perhaps lower left corner.
A selection on the shadow portion of the bird and a curves adjustment might can bring up that area and a selection on the top of the head and a curves adjustment (reverse s-curve) could tame the high contrast there.
Great points by Robert on a good photo Raymond. Like the eye contact and the sharpness. Might move the bird a little to the left in the frame. Thanks for posting!

I see you made it up to Carden! Glad you found one of these guys. The light is pretty darn harsh. But its still a nice image to have.
