Going through the LR catalogue, found this older image from 2014.
Image FF, just cropped a sliver from LHS for comp.
Minimal work done on image, bit LR. In PS just Masked curve and B&D layer.
One of those images that was done right in camera.

Just a thought and I have no idea if this was late afternoon with rich sunlight, but going a tad cooler on the WB adds a bit more separation, easing of the Contrast brings back some finer detail, just a thought.

Your RP is an improvement, the original was worse in LR with Adobe Profile- could not get 50/50/50 and could not remember profile shot at- changed to Neutral.
Image was definitely better to use as starting point, could still not find mid grey point.
Did contrast selective contrast cure in PS with S-shape to gain mid tone contrast, maybe too much?
Looks like less greens in RP?
All my changes to the OP were done in LR, I wouldn't worry so much here on the 50 bit, I would go with gut feeling and try some of the presets i.e. Daylight as a starting point. If you ever saw the starting point of a RAW of mine then you would really scratch your head, with minimal Colour & Tone!!! Three minutes, including Export and Save for web.
Perhaps a bit of both, if you also adjusted in LR too prior.Quote:

Maybe down to the new WB, going cooler, but there is to my eyes a lot of one colour in there, but not green. You also have room to manoeuvre on the white tooQuote:

Andre not one little bit worried about the closed eye I think you have captured the moment beautifully,love that jaw stretching yawn ,do like this.

Hi Andre -- This is fantastic ! Agree with Steve you should visit your old folders more often . I like what Steve has done in his RP , the separation from the BG is more evident here . But you have managed to get great details and sharpness . Absolutely loved this one .

Hi Andre - I agree with everything said above. This works very well. Nice sharpness and comp. I don't mind at all that the eyes are closed. It's their natural position during the yawn. Steve's rp has taken an already great image up a notch.

IMHO Andre, looking better, but as you know, we all see things differently on our monitors/through our eyes, but seems very close!
