I like the composition and the exposure, the complimentary colours are very appealing, I also like the open bill.
Great looking bird Karl. Just a hint of something in the back which is nice . I wonder if not chopping the top off the seed branch would help a bit ? No big deal

Nice look at this puffed-up female. Was it a cold day? Good colors, pose and perch. I second John's thoughts about a little more room to show the top of the branch, if you have it.
