Captured this guy at Nickerson Beach Saturday morning. He looks like he's dancing but he's merely stretching. :o

Very cool pose, great angle and exposure control. Great to see how long those wings are. I'm wondering if a slightly higher angle would have made it possible to see the feet, too.

I love the wing detail and the head angle. I guess the feet would have been bonus, but as Maxis says the action steals the show! Good job with the exposure.

Thanks, everyone for such positive comments! I agree about the feet - I was sitting on the ground awaiting the skimmers to fly by when he stretched his wings and his feet were hiding. Seems like the birds were really nice to me last weekend at Nickerson. Hope they remember me, next time I visit. :D

Super on the exposure and colors. I don't miss the feet, but might be tempted to clean up some bits in the sand.
