Hi, Anita, I like your "politically correct" title:S3: I like the soft colors repeating in the flower and the background and the opposing direction that the bottom petals are taking. There's one bright stamen, petal (?) on the lower right of the image that I would try to tone down just a hair.
It's not all that often that a mostly-yellow image is posted, and it is a welcome sight at this time of year (in this part of the country, at least). I like the contrast in the lower left of the flower head, but -- especially with the yellows of the flower blending into the background -- I wonder about toning down the darker browns so the rest of the flower plays a bigger role.
Anita,
Greetings. I like the pencil detail as it matches the subject so well. For my taste a little additional contrast with a reduced opacity multiply blend and crop to square from the left would be my choice. An idea anyway -

Thanks for posting.

Thank you Dennis and Michael. I like Michael's version better! I've made the changes suggested by Dennis, Cheryl and Michael and am happier with the resulting image. :-)
Anita, when I posted using the word p*ssy willow in the title the system rejected that particular word as being a "bad" word! Too funny! So do we now say "little kitty" willow? Actually in this stage it makes me think of a "bearded" willow! I like the tighter view of the square crop. And the yellows are great!
