Another great sky! And I like your placement of the birds against it. With the colors in it, the whole image fits together very well.
Very OOTB! The sun (?) behind the darker head lights up the lighter head at just the right angle and intensity. Like the yellow feet, too. jUst enough drama to make it "dark" but also light.
Great bg! It sets off the birds nicely. I don't know enough about birds to comment on their poses. I like the yellow feet, but maybe tone them down a bit so I don't just look at them. Beautiful water. The drops of water are a nice touch.
The feet on the snowy egret are pretty much that color - very bright - I love them. Mitch, are the birds a composite or were they actually sparring together? (I like the image either way:S3:)
Hi Mitch, great image concept and overall execution. The one thing that stands out to me is that the GBH is a much larger bird than the snowy, and since it is in front of the egret it should appear even larger. I guess if I didn't know about the relative sizes it would seem normal, but to my bird brain is feels off.
Well done, the whole image works well for me with a nice background for the birds which look great against it.
Does a GBH have that much white? Or is it a Reddish Egret?? (I only know Robins and Bluejays but I'm trying to learn.)
I love the halo around the dark head. Snowys do seem to be belligerent, so well done!
The two birds in this image were as seen here. I only added a new background.
Dianne,
You are correct. It is not a G.Blue. The birds were not altered in perspective. They were photographed against a plain sky, but I wanted a more dramatic background.
Thanks.
