These Magellanic Penguins were returning from a swim by Carcass Island, the Falklands. I like the poses of the birds, and patterns formed by water streaming off the juvenile on the right.

The more in the frame, the more difficult it is to have eye contact with all.
You did a good job, excellent image.

Three good head angles, not an easy task. Good composition and action, and I agree, I like the "skirt" of water from the juvie. Even at f9 its tough to get enough DOF. I usually push the D7200 above ISO 640.

Nice image, lots to keep me interested in this frame from the good subject, pretty colors, and as you pointed out the water streaming off the birds. I do wonder if there isn't a more compelling composition hiding in there. You have almost equal space from subjects to edge of the frame all the way around. Might be something for you to explore.

All been said. Great head angles for the three birds. Maybe a tiny bit tight but no big deal.

A lovely scene Norm. Less tight would be better. A big ask at f9. The over all scene kind of compensates for the shortfall. Nice work.
