Lovely colours and exposure of this cracking bird. It is a bit tight in the frame and the image is a bit weighted to the left hand side. Nonetheless a pleasing image.
Hi Dan, the reflection of the rising (or setting) sun makes this a nice image. I'm with adrian regarding the tightness of the frame. Loi
Lovely colors and nice reflection in the eye indeed. I also think it is tight in the frame. TFS.
Hi Dan, A terrific up close in your face bufflehead with the light you had, you did a fine job here. I like that it is tight in the frame, my eyes got right to the face and thats where the magic is! Just curious about the eye, is that the nicitating membrane, the faint slanted vertical? really like the reflection and catchlight! well done...
Hey Dan, I like it too. You are really getting some low perspective closeups. Love the water droplets on the feathers and the color of the water around the subject is very pleasing.
nice capture Dan,love the colors, nice wave, and drops of water on the feathers.TFS.
Nice, Dan. I agree that more space around the bird might be better, but the POV, colors, bkg, water droplets and wave make for an excellent result. I'm also impressed with the sharpness, since this was handheld.
Hi Dan, in this one I do like the rich, saturated colours, agree on being tight, smaller in frame would be better, with more to the left. Like the bubbling bow wave too and low perspective. The eye & bill look to have a bit of noise, did you lighten them?
TFS
