Tuesday Dottie and I went to Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. The morning was very foggy, the drive over and photography were quite interesting to say the least. This image was captured along Black Point Wildlife Drive. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Very nice Joe.
I like the soft muted light and your composition.
Reflection is nice. I might tidy up the very bottom of the head reflection (those 3 little white wavy lines).
A very restful image.

I like the comp, pose, reflection. It's hard to tell it was foggy without reading your story, therefor for that reason I would punch up the contrast, or at least darken the blacks.

Joe:
Good comments from the Gail and Daniel. I would def. increase the blacks to bring out a bit more detail and contrast, often helps a lot on foggy, soft days.
If the IQ will tolerate, I might crop a bit tighter to show more detail in the head/eye and plumage overall.
Cheers

Hi Joe, well timed for the fishing 'strike' and overall well exposed. I do like these images where the water is dead calm giving you a feel of serenity. Comp wise, I would take a bit off the top.

Great composition and I love the reflection. I would definitely give a tighter panoramic shot (crop from top and below) a try.

Good suggestions above regarding composition and contrast. A pleasing image with a nice mood to it and I love the subtle gray color.

I like this one, Joe, although I think this would work better if the bird was smaller in the frame.
Not sure how much you cropped, but a longer distance view would probably show the fog more.

Hi joseph , lovely clean image with a nice hunting pose of the egret .I am fine with the overall comp , tone and colors in your OP .
I just think the egret could stand some selective sharpening as i feel the head & neck are is a wee bit soft .
