Must try some flight stuff 1 This is another good one David. Some may think the BG is harsh butI quite like it.

Nice display of the speculum, green on rump. I like his angle in the frame, his slight rotation towards us. You managed a pretty even green head, which can often be a challenge with these fellows.

Excellent capture David. There is a bright bit just over the eye and trailing behind. I don't know if that is a selection mistake or if it is natural? I would remove the lower smaller highlight in the eye and the highlight on the eye ring....doing so will make the image look clean and sharper.
Hi Adrian the highlights you mention are water droplets. The bird had just taken off. Thanks for pointing out about the eye.
Hi David a very nice capture of the Mallard , love the pose and the overall comp/crop . The BG is adding nicely to the overall look .
I would not change a thing .If there are water droplets creating HL , just leave them as they are it is natural and not a distraction in my eyes .

Great shot David it looks spot on to me focus is just right as is exposure I also like the wing position.
