Superb portrait here with the bird wearing a snow cap. Shutter speed perfect for falling snow.
Very nice...I would loose the screw...but great pose, head position, BG.

Excellent image for the theme, John. I prefer the repost.
The screw is a very British thing I think! I agree it looks fine without but this is the sort of scenario that is regularly seen in UK, in fact I am constantly on the look out for an old fence post with attached screw, clasp or hinge etc.
Lovely shot John, if this is cropped I would reduce it a little I suspect image quality would improve a little. The snow on his head looks great well done.

Yes better I would crop just a little from the RHS and base to improve presentation.
