Hello, Terry. Good to see you here again. You did nicely with the flash work and with the exception of the eye (which can be fixed), looks quite natural. I like his raised crest and the view of the blue on his face. I don't care for the rhododendron in the background as it is so prominent that it takes attention from the bird. Also the heavy stick intersecting the top corner is not pleasing. I am unfamiliar with this species, but maybe you could do a set up and attract him to a perch with a cleaner background?
A pleasing image and good points noted above. I love the far background which is a bit Rembrandtish.
Nice bird, looks good. The leaves are not as bad as the branch at the top right corner.
I like the pose, details and composition. Good suggestion by Grace. Nice image Terry.

Per request, I have removed the branch in the upper right corner and fixed the eye brightness caused by the flash...Terry
