Love the environment and the subject. Nice wings up pose too.
I just wish the snow covered branch that is blocking the feet and tail was not there.
He is a bit angled away from us which is unfortunate.
But definitely a keeper!

It really looks like you had a cold day for shooting. You caught the focus right on the owl's face and any sharp capture of one of these is a good thing. Unfortunately, the owl is moving away from you and the foreground sticks are very distracting. Glad to hear you're going to keep trying.

I like the side view with the stretched wings, the snow environment is really nice too. I also wish the twigs weren't blocking parts of the tail. TFS

Yes, those FG twigs are unfortunate, but the others are pretty neat with the hoar frost. Good wing extension here.

That underwing detail is amazing as it they gray-blue sky and frost. Points mentioned above, no need to repeat, but I look forward to more of your images !
