I got lucky on this Am. Kestrel shooting a couple years ago.
I saw group of people in the field and the guy who was doing the feeding was from my town and I knew him.
I asked him if my wife and I can join as I did not know if it was a workshop or not, but we were invited, anyway.

I would give my right arm for the opportunity to photograph a kestrel in this wonderful snowy environment and the lovely perch.
I am OK with the grass on RHS but could see a version with it cloned out or cropped out. If the IQ can handle this I could see a vertical crop.
The eye area seems like it out of DOF ever so slightly. ?my eyes or maybe a bit more sharpening in that specific area?

Terrific opportunity, well used. Unique view of a Kestrel. If the stem on the right were in focus I wouldn't mind it, but I think I'd be tempted to crop or clone it out.
I would leave the stem it looks natural and I would consider a little more sharpening on the cheek/around the eye. Lovely shot great colours/exposure.
A lovely pose and I like the environs. The bird shows quite a bit of noise despite the camera and ISO. Is this a large crop?
Was the bird baited by the group?
