There was a sizeable flock of Snow Buntings and Horned Larks and one Longspur in the field.
It was fun trying to find it and separate it.
There was no sun but the snow provided reflective light.

Nice even illumination with fill from snow. Good DOF. Shooting angle effective.
On the iPad it looks likes an option might be .25 stop brighter, but perhaps different on a calibrated screen.

Beautiful feather details and I like the bits of grasses in the snow- adds a nice environmental feel.

Lovely capture of the bird and I love how it's set against the snow. I'd play with enhancing that look even more by cloning out a lot of the stuff near the left edge of the frame, working my way in toward the bird to see where to quit.
