Hi Andreas - Not sure this one really works for me. The first thing I was drawn to was the nose of the adult and it's soft then I searched for the pup. There's definitely a cuteness factor to the pup. I just keep finding myself drawn back to the adult and wishing it was in focus. Could just be me though. Let's see what the others say.

Hi ANdreas -- I too agree with Rachel , the eyes keep wandering towards the adult , though i liked the contrasting colours and details in the pup and also the low POV .

Cute lil seal with nice eye contact and details. Nice low angle too Andreas.

Hi Andreas
Stunning detail in darks, great POV and those eyes of the pup...!
Agree with the BIG nose at his back...is he pushing, sniffing..?
Would be a stunning image without the rude bull behind him:t3.
Are there any grey socks on the beach?:Whoa!::5

Cuteness factor here for sure Andreas, but do find the bull grabs my attention first, I gather you were fairly close and getting both in focus may not have been possible, still the low POV speaks nicely. :w3

Hi folks thanks so much for your various comments , always appreciated .
My intention was for sure to let the viewer decide where to look or better wonder back and forth ... between the cuteness and the big adult bull somehow threatening for the pup .
It was technically not possible to get the tightness of the frame and a greater DOF , so i thought it might work , for me it works .. still .
For me it also about the contrast .. big and small .. but for sure no need to share my thoughts by you guys .
Thanks again Andreas

Baby cute and rendered perfectly. The father should have kept his big schnozz out of the way :) An option would have been to have gotten tighter on the little one, maybe just the face. I like the low angle. a

ps: I get the big and small thing but the juxtaposition here is just not pleasing enough to illustrate the concept. a

Hi Andreas, I can see where you were going and perhaps it was one of those images that may have looked good at the time, but on reflection doesn't quite convey the thinking. Agree that having an option of a tighter capture of the seal pup would have clinched the deal and captivated the view into the 'cute' factor. In going tighter it would have also eliminated the white 'snow' line in the BKG, I would have been tempted to have blown that 'grey' colour back in via PP to have a uniform backdrop. The splash of red in the eye brings a nice bit of colour to the capture, good POV.
