All seems well with mom and cub at Timbavati. Both relaxed and peaceful. One of my fave images of the CUB. Shot this up close and tight (head shot posted earlier) here is the wider view. Mom's torso was not ideal but the look to the lens was too good to let go. Last post for the months theme from me.

Should have upped ISO to 800-1600 in hind sight to get more SS/DOF. But well I was still learning. (still am):w3

Hi Sanjeev -- Lovely eye contact here of such a cute subject. I went 10 years before I finally saw my first leopard cub this year. They are such a treat to see. I agree that a higher SS and DOF would have been great, as the 5D3 can easily handle the higher ISO. My only nit is check the whites on the cats - they look a bit blue / grey on my screen. I pulled this into PS and noticed that the blues (e.g., 235) and greens (e.g., 225) were dominating the reds (e.g., 205). Lovely image though - great sighting and capture! :5

Hi Sanjeev - Great eye contact. Agree with your self-critique and also really wish the cub's paw was visible. Such cutie though.

Hi Sanjeev -- Another cute moment with the cub , would have preferred a full paw but that is part and parcel of wildlife photography . TFS !
