Snipes
At feeding ground, which as nice as they are actually "doing something"
Trouble is they move so fast - not keeping the head up for long. This one is a pain to crop.Added a bit of canvas on left(stretched)

Hi John, nice clean image of the Snipes. Here they always seem to be blocked by vegetation. Thank you for sharing.

True = you don't get them out in the open feeding very often.

Nice one John. Good that you were able to get both birds in focus, and as you say, doing something. Nice to see the birds in their environment and the crop looks good.

Hi John, always great to have more than one of your subjects in the frame. I like the feeding behaviour of the closer Snipe, and your pano crop works well.

Thanks guys
Yes -with a shot like this its a case of making a quick decision as to whether to go for wide or clese . I recall I did both ! Its not the getting two birds which is hard with these but two birds with their heads out of water !!

Hi John first post here dedicated to you good sir for inspiring me for a good long time. i've loved your work and many images for a good while john so often you seem to sit the bird in such wonderful backgrounds. John I'm very much learning the ropes with a bit more serious side of nature photography,so I can't give much critique wise but I'll try anyway with that caviat in place. I personally wish i could see the tail of the feeding bird,to the right, that said to get two snipe feeding with their heads up and sharp up is no easy task !! I couldn't have taken this image yet I'm sure. Just lovely John I like your crop too
take care and thanks for sharing

Thanks very much for your comments- Much appreciated indeed. I don't take my photography too seriously and have,t really done so for the past 50 odd years. I do try to getthings looking "real" for want of a better expression. Sometimes it works - sometime not.
Get at it Stuart- Get snapping. Word of encouragement- If I can do it anyone can.
Thanks again.
John
