Good to see a large number of Piping Plovers at Nickerson last week. They have been doing well here in years past and hopefully will do well again this summer.

Nicely done Joe,
I like the composition and the soft colors on your bird...
I like this. I like the crop, the cleanliness of the picture and the serene feel to the whole thing.
Nice light and details. I would prefer a slight head turn toward you and might apply some NR on the BG and CW rotation.
My favorite time of year... plover season !
Sweet Mr. Joe
Axel captured my comments. I like the composition and getting low was the ticket here. The side lighting enhances the details in the feathers well.
Love the lighting in this one and the beautiful BG. Axel has coverd it all. Like this a lot Joe and will look forward to seeing more !!!
The noise in the background and the head turn (not always achievable but nice / optimal when accomplished), but I hear a whole lot about doing some 'slight rotations" on low angle shorebirds.
I think folks might want to consider that just because little wavelets don't flow in straight lines (they are always coming from angles)...nor do little sand ridges always line up perfectly, it just might be more preferential to actually have the subject in the proper / original position (natural) cause when you rotate the background...the subject goes with it.
Just my 2 cents.
