I captured this image of a Northern Mockingbird at St. Mark's NWR last week. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Post processed in Lightroom 6 and Photoshop Elements 10, evicted a misplaced branch/Palm leaf the began at the right edge, crossed behind the base of the tail, and continued behind the perch

Hi Joe, like the body posture and the way the porch leads up, like the crop, although is this a bit one?

Based on the techs I think you could have gained a bit more DoF here, but retaining the SS.

I feel there maybe a remnant part you left in bottom RH corner, WDYT?

Nice pose and image, bur I would have liked to have seen more feather detail. (More sharpening?)

Hi Steve and Karl, thank you for viewing and commenting. Both of you are correct, looking back at the original it was a big crop, so the feather detail is lacking and not possible. Back to the drawing board, so to say, and make the bird smaller in the frame. Thanks again for viewing, commenting, and suggesting improvements.

Hi Joe, Lovely angled pose, and I like the curved perch as it rises up to the ULC. Reducing your crop a touch may render better plumage detail. :w3

I quite like the composition and pose of the bird. It is a lovely photo.

If you revisit it for cropping, please consider that the lower branch is quite bright compared to the bird. Burning/darkening that branch may be an option.
