Hi Gail,
I love this shot! Particularly for the mirror like reflection at the bottom, the clarity of detail, how the bird pops, and how the worm is about to snap out ;)
I sense from the foreground that the photo could be rotated CCW a little, but that may compete with the background lines.
There seemed to be still some noise in the background, but you mentioned you did NR. Upon closer examination I wonder if it is jpeg compression artifacts in the blue color gradients ?
You sure seem to be hanging around the right Plovers, Gail! Thanks for sharing this great photo :)

Another cracker Gail. Great POV. Lovely details throughout. You can almost feel the strain on the bird as it pulls. Nice one, lovely frame.

That is one plump worm, and its pale colour makes it very spaghetti-like (not that it makes it more appetizing to us though!!) Right at peak stretching action too. Before reading Ross' comments I also felt like the image may need a bit of CCW rotation.

This is one heck of an image, Gail. It feels real to me. The worm is huge for this little bird and the bird appears to be handling the challenge with ease. The horizon looks good to me.

Wonderful image Gail - super sharp, great IQ, lovely colours, and the "spaghetti" takes it up a big notch!
Superb capture, well exposed, great techs. I feel it needs a tad of CCW rotation?
Thank you for sharing, I enjoyed viewing, very much:)
