I was shooting with my friend Derek this day, early in 2014, down the South Coast of NSW, when this opportunity presented itself.
I don't normally get to see this golden water and have the chance to go for these types of shots, so I tried something not normal (for me).

Hi Akos!
I am a big fan of golden water, and this shot with 3 gulls silhouetted against it is wonderful.
I quite dig the horizontal placement of birds in the frame.
In my view, the photo could be better without the thin dark band at the top of the frame. Shifting your shot, as is, up in the frame would work well in my eyes.
Thanks for posting this one Akos!

I like the mood of your image, Akos. It brings up pleasant memories from the past.

I agree with Ross.
I would go for a tighter pano and take a chunk off the bottom of the frame. I find all that black quite heavy and it pulls the eye downward.
I like the bit of light coming through the nostril of the leftbird.
Always fun to try something different.

PS I LOL when I read your comment on my harrier picture!!Too funny!

There's something about this I love. Maybe its the gulls, maybe its the gold, maybe its something that makes me feel good. But, whatever it is, it does it for me :S3:

I really like what you went for here, and the fact that it was out of your comfort zone. Good eye going for it, and the suggestions you got would further strengthen the image.
Clever title, Betty White would be proud:t3

Hi Akos, well timed to have all three Gulls looking the same way, and any silhouette against a striking coloured BG works in my book. Comp wise, I would take a bit off the bottom, and I would remove the dark band on top.
