Lapwings are such beautiful birds but I have never seen an image of a chick, Great low angle and excellent detail. If you have the canvas I would like to see a little more room on the bottom and perhaps a tad on the top. Excellent exposure too. A vertical could be a possible option too. . Many thaks for sharing Johnathan.
Nice photo Jonathan! I think a vertical crop would work better here. I find the BG to be somewhat distracting; perhaps a little more blur. Like the low angle. Thanks for posting!
I agree with Doug on this one, the BG looks distracting due to its placement right at the back end of the bird. Darkening it some and blurring it will help.
Great find and details. I agree with Judy and would go for a vertical crop. Too bad the sun was not behind you.
I have just made a vertical crop, added a little canvas to the top and bottom and blurred the BG a little more. It really does make a difference, the shot is far more impactive, thanks very much for your advice, it is always constructive and most helpful.
