Snowy Plover Chick in Habitat
One of my photographic goals is to do more composing in camera, which means that the center focus point is to be avoided at all cost. Slight crop off the left side to remove OOF chick.
Two of the chicks in this nest hatched the preceding evening(this is one of them) and are now leaving the nest site to forage. Most of the foraging is done away from the Gulf of Mexico toward the back of the beach, hence the upward slope in this image.

Having shot on Sanibel beaches a fair bit, I've always found the plant material to add a nice aspect to things.
