A summer project from my camera club involves taking photos of song titles, in this case "Midnight Train to Georgia," with the requirement that we use a long exposure. I took this photo around sunset. The area was in shadow. I used my point and shoot Canon s100 because my DSLR is in the shop being repaired. I processed the image using CEP> Midnight.
Any suggestions for improvement?
Totally prefect title for this image! All the elements are there but I would like more of the blurred train. I like the glow of the little shelter on the right balancing the glow of the train on the left. Just the right amount of that glowing light on the all the parallel lines of the tracks, chain link fencing and the overhead power lines. I like that the red, white and blue sign repeats the colors of the train. You really chose a great position and a great time of day that hides the extraneous details of the bkgd and emphasizes only that which belongs to the train.
I like the movement, and just the few touches of color!

Hi Anita, I was going to say all the same things that Nancy said so I won't repeat them. I like the concept and agree that just a little sooner on the shutter button would have made for a stronger image.

Thank you Judy and Kerry. My little point and shoot doesn't shoot as fast as my DSLR, hence, not getting more of the train.
Great mood Anita, and great sense of motion. I like that little lonely shelter, it adds to the feeling of desolation.
