I wasn't the only one making pictures! I played with the colors a bit and used Topaz Impression on it. It's also lighter than it actually was when I made it, to bring out the colors.

This gives a totally different impression of the prior photos of La Push Beach! The prior photos feel calm and solitary. This is busy and chaotic. It is a good counterpoint to the other photos.
Thanks Anita! Yes, the parking area was a busy place. There were also several photographers and observers on the other side of me.
It's amazing how many photographers there are in the world:S3:
I always like pictures of photographers, they remind me how silly I must look to others. :bugeyed: But seriously, I like the activity and colors of the image. I am always inclined to remove bird poop, but maybe in this case it is a part of the story. I like the sweeping curve of the rocks that leads the eye into and out of the image.
In addition to the above comments, the lighting coming in from the right adds a beautiful glow. The foreground elements of the man in blue, the large rock and the single tall flower ground the image very well. The large to small size of these 3 elements also guide your eye out into the direction that everyone is photographing.
Yes, Cheryl, we saw many since it was in the midst of tourist season on the Olympic Peninsula.
Thanks Nancy! I thought I was just making a "snapshot" but it turned out to be one of my favorites from the beach.
Fun image. Made me laugh. Yes, we photogs are a silly bunch!
