My first flight image of a Burrowing Owl Top Side in flight.
1DX
500f4 II
1/4000
f11
ISO-1250
HH
Added a strip on canvas at the bottom.
Increased exposure by ~ 1/3EV in post
I accidentally bumped the aperture setting from F8 to F11, so the image was a bit under-exposed, but thanks to the 1DX, it does not look that bad.
Thank you for commenting on my previous image. Hope you like this one.

Gorgeous pose and you recovered well. I find the lifted feathers acting like air-flow vectors most interesting. Good job well done. Regards, Ian.

Hi Loi, quirky HA and I like the overall angle and no issues pushing the 1DX that's for sure. The 500 certainly delivers in instances like this, good choice.

Nice topside flight position, and great HA. Well recovered in post - I wouldn't have known. Varied background a plus.

Hi Loi, excellent flight pose captured here, and love the angle of the head. I like the dorsal view, sharp with good DOF, and nicely separated from the BG. Very well captured.

The sharp focus on the head and the excellent eye and details just polish off a really nice image! I really like the HA and wing positions. I wouldn't have detected you needed to recover in post. Well done.
