I like this. It's a really good close-up....a really good photo. It's kinda like what I've been trying to do except all the leaves and stuff get in the way. :) Thanks for sharing!
Very nice! I love the feet -- how do they ever hang on well enough to land!? The BG is interesting without being distracting and the bird is well detailed and in nice light. This might be one where a very slight Smart Sharpen with the smallest radius (0.1) and the Lens Blur setting, might give a bit of punch to the JPEG. Just resizing can cause a little softness, depending on how it's done.
I'm wondering what a little more canvas on the right would look like, if you have it -- to give him a little more space to look into.
a little change in crop and a shot of Smart sharpen.Attachment 153994
Yes -- this works for me! An option is a subtle lifting of the darks. A fine point to watch for is the closeness of the end of the branch to the right edge -- leave a little more room (my preference) or cut into it. It seems a small matter but once you notice a "tension point" like that, it's hard to quit noticing it.
Altogether, though, a fine image!
thank you, in this copy I removed the top of the fork in branch tweaked blacks a bit.Attachment 153996
Works for me!
Very nice! Quite the feet on that bird!
Great work on the RP, Fred! Those FEET totally crack me up... glad they are in focus! Oh.... and the rest of the bird is pretty darn good too!
