Rocket 88

Being the car to which this cool hood ornament is attached, a 1956 Oldsmobile Rocket 88. I love going to car shows and getting shots of the hood ornaments, they make for some interesting images with a little imagination applied. No filters or plugins on this one, just separating the hood ornament onto its own layer, then placing a picture of a spiral nebula (courtesy NASA) under it. Getting the original image is a bit of a challenge though. I used the "live view" feature of the 5DIII and held the camera up over the hood. I flipped the image vertically in PS.

P.S. - don't look too closely at the nose of the rocket, you might see the photographer upside-down. :c3:

This hood ornament would have been great as the USS Enterprise on Star Trek, rocket is tack sharp, very creative.

I like what you did here, and I might be wrong, but I think we had an Olds 88 way back in the day (1950s)...
