My first post: I caught this female Hairy Woodpecker yesterday with it's lunch in it's beak.

Welcome to BPN, Doug! Very nice first post. Exposure control, details and BG look good, the snack adds to it. I only wish for more eye contact and head turn. Keep them coming!
Welcome and great first post !
Techs look perfect, great perch and background, and the "lunch" is a very nice touch !
Just wish for a bit of a head turn.
Hi Doug. This is a great first post and it's great to see you here! I hear a siren and see flashing red and blue lights... Oh, no! It's the head turn police! They'll get us everytime- I've been arrested here a couple times myself! :D
Welcome Doug! A nice first post to be sure. I agree with the above suggestions. A good head angle and eye contact really help make for an excellent bird photo, and you're very close here. Sometimes the bird doesn't cooperate, but sometimes patience pays off and you get just the right look from the bird.
Shawn, it's all Amy's fault! ;)
Great capture Doug. Welcome to the BPN family. Composition and exposure are dead on. For my taste, I would have liked a better head turn towards you...:D
