35 years????? Jeez!
A nice photo of the mountain with contrast between new life and memory of the desolation that followed the eruption.
nice shot showing the mountain contrasting with the new life. Maybe an angle that would have emphasized the flowers a bit less or at least placed them differently would have been better.
Hi Dan
Great cloud detail and sweeping view of mountain and surrounds.. It has a bit of a gloomy feel which is emphasized by the cloud, not sure if that's what you wanted but its what i feel. Almost Lord of the rings stuff... I too think the flower is a little too close to the LH border, and i think there are alternate composition available that would have given a bit more space...
DON
PS: good to see a mountain recovering...
I like the entire scene Dan, it's a good composite of the whole landscape with lots to look at.
I like the delicate flowers (new life) vs the storm of the mountain (it's still an ominous volcano with horrible memories). the comments above re the flowers are, however, good, too. I think if you cropped off a bit from the bottom to the bottom of the flowers, that would still have the contrast of color and texture but also put more focus on the majesty of the volcano, your topic.
Lovely composition, with some nice colour coming through Dan (the flowers add nicely to the palette).
Contrast and tonality look good too. This would make a nice B&W if some time is spent on tweaking tonal contrast carefully.
Truly awesome and I love the 3D feel, the flowers add so much to this image - well seen and captured, the colours are sublime!
Kind regards,
Very nicely composed Dan...it is very interesting to see this scene so long after the eruption and to see the new life and the sections that remain barren still.
