House Sparrow
Still one of my favourites when in full colour. Numbers have really dropped here ince we reduced the chicken numbers.

John:
Love the fluffed up look. Almost looks like a different bird.
Nice shooting angle, head position, strong catchlight, well exposed.
Cheers

John, very nice detail, I think a horizontal crop would improve the image. Slight crop from bottom to remove the highlights, and larger crop on top. Any more canvas on the right?
Signature on the top is not working for me on this one. Here is a quick sample.
Thanks Ed -yes plenty for the right. I was in two minds which way to go. I wanted some of the BG in at the top- hence the upright.
This is straight fom camera , except for cropping
but the next shot on fast burst so virtually identical -just the water ripples a little different at the bottom.

A handsome little Sparrow, too often overlooked. Nice color and detail. The reflection in the OP doesn't work for me, so I like the horizontal version better.

Rock does not distract, secondly it gives nice balance in the frame.
If mine ,would darken the two light blue spots on the top right corner.
