I like the framing, with the wings working the diagonal of the frame, and the bill on that same diagonal line.
Wish I could see the eye just a bit better. It looks like a tiny sliver of a catch light is there, perhaps this could be brought up just a bit.
Having the light a bit more over your left shoulder, would have opened up the shadows considerably.

I do like this framing of a favorite bird of mine. It is difficult to get eye detail from black headed birds, but when done seems to really set them off....I like Randy's suggestion and have done so a few times myself.
I tried improving the eye a few times and I wasn't happy with the result. Here is another frame from the same outing where the light was more favorable for the eye. Better to start with a good shot than to try to improve it in post, but I did like the wings in the original....
thats a nice one and to me, the eye catchlight makes all the difference

The second image works better for me because of the lighting. Much more alive because of the light on the eye.
