Winners: Go Green

Some very strong although fewer entries than usual for the theme. I was impressed by the quality of work in each of the winning images. I could not pick a clear winner as I thought each image had its' own unique strength.

So all tied for first place in no particular order:



1. Gatorzilla by Judy Howle. This had a very unique bg worthy of an image on its' own. So neat to see Judy exploring Gelli Prints, with bright vivid colours and psychedelic feel. Great idea to put the 'gator in with the threshold filter. Looking forward to more explorations Judy.

1. Green Leaf of a Carnivorous Plant by Anita Bower. I would kill for Anita's eye! Lovely green and intimate feel as this plant makes its' way into the world. The selective focus on the tip, echoing in the curl, combined with the earth tones make this a very inviting Spring image. Congrats Anita!

1. A Green Cloak for the Dwarf by Michael Gerald-Yamasaki. Ominous, yet benign (?), artistic, well worked image with a greet feel. I don't think I would want to drop into his 'hood anytime soon. Very creatively done Michael.


Honourable Mention: Pine Reflection by Gary Ellwein. Nice greens and work with Topaz, though I might have like to have seen the image as reflected.
