Theme - Burano Green

A family get-together tomorrow with a mandatory slide show of my trip has forced me to fly through my images and pick out some highlights. I haven't had time to work on anything in PS, just pick out shots to show my family. I was in Venice for 10 days (my last stop before coming home) and the island of Burano was my favorite spot to do photography. All of the houses are brightly colored with window boxes and flowers - it's a very, very charming place. Here's one that I thought fit the theme - a reflection of a boat and houses on a canal. Pretty much straight out of the camera except for exposure adjustments in LR and removing a few floating objects in the water.:S3:

Gorgeously out of the box straight out of the camera! You'll have a wonderful time playing with this -- and probably many, many more!

It's a delightful surprise to see everything upside down, and I like the distortions a lot. The colors, too. I can't wait to see what's next.

Greetings. This is great. But what do you mean sooc? Never seen anything remotely like this out of my camera. Maybe it's a Canon thing? I particularly like the red-yellow edge on the right. Thanks for posting.

Hi, Michael, I went back and looked at my image in LR and the only adjustment that I made was to increase the exposure a little bit and I took it into CC and removed a couple of small leaves that were floating in the water. It is a reflection of a boat and houses in a canal and the water was moving a little bit. I don't think it's a Canon thing - just a straight shot.:S3:

Cheryl, I guess what I'm seeing is just the right amount of water movement to get the effect along with the Venetian color. Very cool nonetheless even if there isn't an app for that ;-).
