From the recent trip to Fort DeSoto captured a willet flying higher than one foot of the ground. Saw the bird out the corner of my eye and was able to put down the tripod and get on the bird !!! Fun capture.

I like the pose, soft light and setting. The plumage looks quite different compared with willets up here.

Great looking bird, Al. I like the pose--subtle wing blur and the soft colors. I might diminish or eliminate the dark areas of the trees against the blue sky in the bg to the left.

I like the blurred wings too! If only the entire background is green..but one takes what was there at the moment! :)

Looks like you nailed it, Alfred. Nice even light and good sharpness on the bird's head and body. Still looks like a winter plumage bird. I like the background except for the 3 OOF trees on the left. The image might be stronger without those.

Great timing Alfred and a beautiful capture of the willet You dp not see many images of these fellas in flight. and you definitely nailed this one. Excellent detail and i love the flight pose with the slight wing blur. Congrats on this one !! Love it.
